My spouse works in a different state from what my state residency is on my medical school application. My top choice schools are in the state he works (would really like to avoid being long-distance in med school if possible), but as an OOS applicant I was wondering if I should indicate this as a tie to the state somewhere in my secondary essays or leave it out. For example, in a 'why us' secondary, after discussing what the school offers and mission that is in alignment with my experiences and goals, can/should I also mention this connection to the area? Or does this inauthenticate make my genuine answer to 'why us'? Thanks!
