I am Caucasian female applying to dental school in June. My credentials are towards the lower end of the spectrum and I don't know if I should bother applying to Meharry and Howard. I know they prefer minorities, but I figured they take some non-minority applicants. Is it worth the money to apply to these schools if I'm not an underprivileged minority?

I wouldn't waste your time with them. They will likely just take your $.

I did apply to both bc I looked at their average DAT and got too excited!!! not knowing those are just numbers and don't mean nothing. Don't waste your money on them. Apply early and to 15 to 20 schools in the east coast. Write a nice personal letter and do volunteer work and enough shadowing.
Good Luck
