I am a Medical student attending a US medical school and was wondering where would be a good place to do an away rotation. I am currently looking at the Univ of NSW and Univ of Sydney.

Any thoughts and what campus would be good? Im thinking about doing an ER rotation.

Thanks :D

I agree, RPA is an excellent choice! (this was my clinical school while at USyd)

When you say ER, are you interested in trauma? RPA is only a Level 3 trauma centre. Very busy but very boring. Tends to be the usual assortment of URTIs, AMIs, FF psych patients and the occasional MVA. Few, if any, senior staff around nights and weekends. Doc in the box cases for the most part. I don't think you would find it an exciting ER experience coming from an American teaching hospital.

If you want trauma in Sydney, look into Westmead (USyd) and St. George (UNSW). Tertiary trauma centres.
