With all of my available secondaries submitted... I find myself anxiously waiting. Because I'm a fan of positive thinking I decided to start a ranking system for each school I applied to, you know in case I get accepted to more than one 🙄 (a girl can dream)!

Anyway... I'm wondering if there's a place to find average scores on the USMLE and COMLEX? It doesn't seem like the schools post it on or around the other admissions related stats, but it sure would be nice to see them and I know it would help make my decision easier.

I contacted the admissions of the schools themselves. Most had some info to give me pertaining to the scores. Average score meant more to me the pass rate. They should provide both. Goodluck!

When I interviewed at LECOM-E, we asked about the USMLE scores. We were told the school didn't know since not all students take the USMLE and it's not required by the school to graduate

This is not something I'd worry about. Not everyone is looking to blow the doors off the boards. There are a lot of people who are content with just passing. Smart people who could easily do very well. These people are interested in primary care. A lot of osteopathic students are interested in primary care. There is no magical curriculum formula that will spoon-feed every student a great board score. This is something you will largely achieve, or fail to achieve, on your own.

I searched for this same information about a year ago and I NEVER found actual scores mentioned much less published.

Today I was surprised to see CCOM post their average from last year which was a 520.

Good luck finding avg scores for other schools, much less published averages.

I guess 520 is a good COMLEX score but is around the average anyway. I am sure most schools come close to this since the average is around 500-550.

The link states the national average is 497.

I wasn't remarking I was surprised to see their average was 520 but more so that they posted their average.
