Where to find women's professional clothing for rotations that will hold up to heavy laundering?

I'm a current MS2 who will be starting rotations in the not-too-distant future. However, I've struggled with finding women's professional clothing that would be well suited to wear in a hospital. Namely, stuff that looks decent but is machine-washable and can stand up to being washed every single time it's worn, because otherwise ... ew.

Most of the professional clothing for women seems to be 'dry clean only' or 'hand wash/dry flat' which may be fine for the office or classroom setting where you can get away with not washing things every time they're worn, but not when you're working in a hospital all day. Much of it doesn't seem to be designed to hold up to being washed frequently. Also, I'm thinking I'll have more important things to do with my time once rotations start than spend hours on the laundry.

So, have any of the women here found a good source for affordable, durable, machine-washable women's professional clothes that still look decent?

Banana republic recently re-designed a lot of their women's pants and now they are in washable fabrics instead of dry clean only.

Hand-wash to me means gentle cycle. I always do and have never had an issue

And honestly, you don’t need to shop in a “business” section of a store. I commonly do dresses with leggings and other things. You can get nice pants from Old Navy and still look professional.

My favorite places are Loft, Old Navy, and Kohl’s.

A lot of the time, "dry clean only" doesn't really mean it can't be washed. If it's unlined clothing (blouse, dress pants, button down shirt, dress, etc) & the fabric content is cotton or polyester, chances are it will do just fine with a cold water wash cycle. You can hang to dry instead of tumble dry low if you really want to be careful, but most times they can stand that too.

yes, Banana Republic!
I absolutely love their Sloan pants in particular - I have them in almost every color haha. they're super comfortable and have held up great for me over the past couple of years

I really like Brooks Brothers. They are a little more expensive but their clothes last forever. I especially like their no wrinkle dress shirts.

Ann Taylor for me. Quick steaming removes all the wrinkles, the pants fit wonderfully and it’s all washing machine friendly. When I’ve gone to the actual store, they stack coupons and get me the $100 pants for $30.

Where do you get your coupons from? I love Ann Taylor but it’s always a little pricey

They stack them for me in the store, coupons I didn’t even know existed. I explained it was for interviews and professional attire, the wonderful ladies found all the codes they could for me then added another student discount on top.

BB is one of the two makers for our dress blues. They look really high quality, but almost no one opts for them because they are hundreds of dollars more expensive than the baseline Flying Cross brand.

Check out Eddie Bauer. They have machine washable (and wrinkle resistant) dress shirts, pants and suits. Save money by shopping at their outlet stores. Some will have school discounts.
