I was recently published in a dentistry journal (American Journal of Dentistry), in a research paper, and was wondering where I should mention this, if at all?

Does information like this belong in the personal statement, in the professional experience section, or just omitted?

Thanks!

Congratulations on the publication.
I just put it under the research section. I wrote the pubmed reference in the description. If they want to look it up, they will. Some schools like UCLA will ask you for a copy attached to the secondary.

Some schools, such as Penn, Western, UCLA, etc will give you a space to include things you want the ad coms to know that you could not put anywhere on AADSAS. Tell them there.

For my papers, I mentioned the basic research procedures used and the major findings (one paragraph total). I hope that helps.
