Where'd you Match!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
anyone hear back from any of their advanced program after they matched?

I only heard back from my prelim medicine program, who sent some paperwork.

I got a call and email from my advanced program today. Email was from the residency coordinator letting me know the contract is on the way, and the call was from the PD welcoming me.

I'd say if you don't hear anything by Monday afternoon, you could give them a call.

For everyone that matched at the University of Kentucky, could you give me some info on the call time and the average number of hours each week that the residents work? UK will be my first choice, so I was wondering about how this program is. I've heard it's a great program.

Congrats to all!

If you celebrate tonight, be careful...

Does UK Anesthesiology require an away rotation to be considered for interviews/placement into their anesthesiology residency program? I'd like to do one there but I don't think I'll be able to ....

Congrats! Very well played. Please don't stop contributing when folks come asking for info on "how do I match into Anesthesiology?".

dc

thanks, i'll try my best to keep posting but it will be tough, i want to take step3 before I start my internship and there's a lot of planning to do.

Thanks for the words of wisdom! I'll definitely keep this in mind. 🙂

I was super excited when I opened my envelope today, but then when I got home (after a few drinks), I started to get a little scared of starting residency, especially after knowing that the people I will be working with are probably 100x smarter than me and that residency is tough... Anyway, I was very lucky to get the spot I wanted so I will have to give all I have and be the best resident that I can possibly be.

Congrats, everyone!

Too funny. Since the match, I too, have been living in pertual fear of my horrible fund of knowledge. I was lucky enough to match into a great program, and got an email from the residency dircetor that commented on how happy I'll be with the quality of my peer group. Great, four more years of being the dumb kid.

Don't you love those PDs...They are so good at this stuff. Saying things that make you feel great without lying.

I matched at University of Nebraska which happened to be #2 on my rank list but it is my hometown and home program so I am happy nonetheless.
