I recently learned that, for financial reasons, I have to graduate early. As a double major, this means that one of my majors will not be completed. Because of the sudden nature of this decisions, I am currently applying for jobs/internships for the spring but have no set plan. Should I update schools yet, or wait? And if so, how much information should I provide? I don't want to make excuses or sound whiny, yet I also don't want to seem flippant about my own education.

You need to update all med schools that you applied to about your change of graduation date and the removal of a major immediately. These are pretty important things.
