I'm a sophomore applying to an accelerated medical program. Our application is just like AMCAS. That's why some of the numbers may seem a little low.

Combine numbers 9 and 10 - both have to do with volunteer work in a clinic.

Just combine them...

Options:
Consider grouping activities that are similar or that have a low number of hours.

Consider including the poster in the same space as the research.

Consider omitting the journal club since it has very low hours.

Consider mentioning the Treasurer position in the same space as the service club the position serves.

I would take the low income clinic volunteering and put them together as one activity, they are the same thing. I am curious though, what is an accelerated medical program?

They are 2 separate clinics. Its a 7 year BS/MD PROGRAM

Alternative Breaks trip...
Journal Club 5 hours
working out

I THINK I'LL eliminate the Alternative Breaks Trip since it was just a one time thing. I also referenced one of the experience from the trip in my personal statement. (It actually made up an important part of my intro and conclusion). Since it was one time and journal club. just started this semester and only meets one hour a week, I'll include journal club. I feel liken the hobbies section may be pretty important as they show a glimpse to my life outside of medicine.

#4... the proportion of your college expenses paid for by scholarships will be shown in a different section of the application an the rest of that is fluff.

Thanks. I think this is better. Dean's list is repetitive and the scholarships they'll find out in a different part of the application and reflect my high school achievements more than my college achievements. I also was going to put valedictorian but I think again, that's high school. The only award that isn't fluff is a service award that only 1% of the University gets, but I'll mention that in one of my other activities through which I performed many of the hours with.

You can group by activity type, even if they were done at different places and times. Just as an example, it's perfectly acceptable to write:
Volunteer Work (Clinical)
Hospital X - 60 hours, from such to such dates
Low Income Clinic- 30 hours, from x date to present
Different Low Income Clinic- 20 hours, from x date to present
County Health Department- 40 hours, from such to such dates
Hospice Volunteering- 25 hours, from x date to present

You may want to group only some of the smaller ones, and leave the more important ones their own spots, but this is just an example. You can do this for some of your other activities too. It is easier to read in more concise form, and it looks neater and better organized as well.
Good luck!

I'd keep the Presidential Service Award from that list, but it could be mentioned with the related activity, and not in its own Honors space.

Putting the alternative breaks trip in your PS and not in the experiences may lead to doubts about it if someone were to look there in the experience section for more facts about the trip.

I just actually had an idea. Since my scholarship was awarded to <5% of people at my University and I had some other awards, I was going to combine my hobbies and awards section, as each don't have that many words.

Terrible idea! Not even apples and oranges... more like apples and orange crates. Like with like. Frankly, unless it is an olympic medal, national championship, or a Nobel Prize, no one is going to be very excited about an award. Even if it is awarded to only 5% of the people at your university, it is likely that at least one other applicant from your university will have won that award. It isn't going to make you stand out.

You've got a lot of fluff...

4 could stay or go.

Combine 5, 6.

Combine 9, 10, 11, 12. All of these hours are very low and don't show dedication. Don't put a 30 hour entry, lol.

Combine 16 with whichever research experience it was on. Doesn't need to be a separate entry.

That gets you down to 10 entries.
