I know we have required texts but what are some other must have books for 2nd year courses that make the subject material more clear and easier to learn and perfect? thanks?
what about for other courses like cardio, gastro, resp...etc. I have heard Pathophysiology of heart disease for cardio and Pathophysiology of Disease by i think lippincott? any word on these? THANKS
i would NOT recommend purchasing big Robbin's Pathology text. i opened mine a couple times the entire year...it mostly sat on the shelf collecting dust. i did well in path with class notes and website and especially BRS path and webpath from UofUtah. my success with these materials transferred over to step 1 as well.
micro made ridiculously simple was awesome for micro...although i used the appleton&lange micro book for the immunology component.
pharm was straight up class notes.
i'd go along with the above advice of getting first aid for step 1 now and reading the corresponding sections as you complete them during year 2...definately wouldn't hurt you...although don't use this as your study tool for your class exams as the content will differ from what your professors expect you to know somewhat.
