I'm trying to decide which business class I should take that would be beneficial.

I need to choose between 2: Principles of Accounting (an introduction to financial reporting & accounting information systems) or Human Resources Management (a study of the employing and managing of personnel in industry & government).

Why do you guys think??

a friend of mine's dad owns a very sucessful business out of Merietta, GA (net worth ~10 mil). anyway, i was considering taking a couple business classes once i'm done with my masters...and his best advice was take a marketing class....he then said, next would prob be accounting or microecon...soo....good luck with that.

I would say that intro to micro/macroecon would be the barebones. Those classes aren't terribly useful for dentistry directly, but are great for being more informed in terms of a basic understanding of things business related: CPI, inflation, or interest rates.

The classes I would strongly suggest:

Intro Micr and macro
Accounting
Marketing
Management
Corporate Finance

You'll develop some helpful skills like risk assessment, firm expansion, and managing your own finances. Overall, very useful skills for a dental practice manager, or even someone looking to own a small practice and optimize revenue with less capital.
