So as of now I'm almost complete with my informal post-bacc where I retook my poor grades in undergrad. This should bring my GPA from a 3.23 to a 3.55 ish. Unfortunately I received a C in biochem and D in a fungal course. I just retook another fungi/ecosystems course, so fungal biology (anticipating an A in it) is still fresh in my head. I'm confident I will receive an A in either course, but will probably be easier for me to get an A in the fungi course. The difference it makes in my GPA is a 0.02 difference (biochem is 4 credits and fungi is 3).
One other thing of note is the fungi course did change names slightly and is a different course number, but is exactly the same material. I've spoken to my professor who teaches both courses and he said he's willing to put in writing that they are both the same course with different titles. I understand biochem will leave me better prepped for medical school, but that D looks really bad on my transcript. Can anyone weigh in on this subject? Thanks
