I will be doing an informal postbacc after graduating this June.
I didn't do so hot in post "weed-out" courses (B- to C+) so how do I choose just a handful of them? My GPA should be good enough for MD/DO after a year of them, so does it even matter which I choose?

C+ to an A is a greater change than B- to an A. Choose the ones you can change the most focusing also on the ones worth the most credits if you are going for gpa repair.

Ok! Great, thank you!

Another bit of advice: If you're in a toss-up between benefits of retaking one class over another, and one of those classes happens to be about material on the MCAT, consider retaking it. It helps a lot when studying for the test to have fresh content. It makes the content review phase much easier, but won't do much for the more important part of learning how MCAT questions are asked, test timing, etc.

Makes sense! 🙂

Also, Organic is just 4 credits at the university I'm taking it at.. but I'm also taking 1-2 classes at a cc and Orgo is 6 there.. Should I just take it at a cc?

You need a full year of Ochem 1 and 2 that adds up to 8 credits for most schools. Is the 4 credit one a general ochem class? That won't cut it for med school.

Here's PNWU's requirement:
  • Organic chemistry: 8 semester hours/12 quarter hours (4 semester hours can be biochemistry)
It is school-dependent though. Here's DMU:
  • Organic chemistry – any 4 semester hours of organic chemistry coursework, preferably with lab
  • Biochemistry – any 3 semester hour course in biochemistry
