So I am planning to take oChem next semester, but I am really confused about what should I take with it.. what do you guys think is better with oChem General Microbiology or Anatomy, physiology ?

I wouldn't take Anatomy with it, since it's a really time consuming course. Microbiology or physiology aren't too bad.

Are you talking about the summer semester or fall? If you have to take orgo in the summer like I had to last summer, I don't recommend taking it with any other class. If you don't have to take it in the summer than I suggest you do it in the fall and winter semester.

If you're talking about the fall semester than I would say probably microbiology because it’s less time consuming than A&P.

I took ochem with A&P. Which I didn't mind, since the two subjects are very different (A&P is more memorization vs Ochem is more problem-based). However, I found microbiology to be less work. As long as you don't take ochem with a math class or something that requires doing problem sets you'll be ok.

I vote the opposite way. You want to prove you got what it takes? To yourself and the ad com? Take the hard stuff. Work your tail off. Still rack up those A's. I assure you pharmacy school will not blend the easy and hard courses. Now is as good a time as any to learn how you need to approach an academic challenge and overcome.

And remember, if you are trying to learn organic chemistry by memorizing things, you're doing it wrong. Organic chemistry is the study of electron movement. Learn how and why they move and you can immediately know any reaction.
