Look into City College. They have a really strong science/premed department.

Having graduated from City College (CCNY), I can give you my honest opinion...the curriculum definitely prepares you with the basics and offers/encourages higher level electives that not only look good on a transcript but also keep you on your toes as prep for the mcat. Premed office is great (advisement) and has built a positive reputation for CUNY through the # of students getting into med schools each year.

You should definitely consider City ... Good luck to you.

Hunter, City and Queens college are where you should look to take premed classes if you are able to commute.

You should definately consider CUNY College of Staten Island. They have an immaculate science program which will prepare you for any medical school. If you study hard you can achieve a good GPA, otherwise go to an easier school. Overall professors are tough, but great teachers where you don't find as many in other schools. Our preparation is actually better than CCNY IMHO. Good luck whichever path you choose.
