Because I have an hour to kill until my gel electrophoresis is finished, I have decided to post this highly scientific poll. Unlike other schools, Penn has specified the week rather than the day that their decisions will go out.

So my poll:

Which day will Penn's decisions be posted?

I voted Tuesday. I'm an optimist, but realistic enough to not vote for Monday. Besides, Tuesday seems to have been the trend in years past. Isn't March 21st the first day of spring? That seems like a good day to announce decisions 🙂

It's almost unfair. I'd say Tuesday should be the over/under given past results.

Tuesday sounds right to me. I'm guessing the powers that be will double check on Monday to make sure all the acceptances, waitlists and rejections are assigned correctly and then let them loose on the 21st. If not Tuesday then probably Wednesday.

As a fly went buzzing by Penn admissions it asked what "the week of" meant. With a sturn stare it was told this meant early in the week, and you will be notified by e-mail of the change in your status page. That's all that will be released, hope that helps a little.

Oh, the nerves. Penn is my dream school. I've stopped eating and sleeping. Really, they better tell us early in the week because I'm not sure how much longer my body can handle this!

I'm probably jumping the gun here since I have no idea if I've even gotten in to Penn, but does anyone know if the merit scholarships are posted at the same time as our admission status? I think they list mid-March as the date for merit scholarship notification as well as for admission notification..

A current M2 at Penn told me that merit scholarships are awarded at the same time as acceptances, and all the information is displayed on the status page when decisions come out. A few lucky people are going to have double the celebrating to do next week 😉
