Which dental schools...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
In Philly, there is a public course at FDR ark about 15 mins from UPENN, 20 mins from Temple....

Sic are you kidding me man! I hate golfing, maybe its because I grew up next to a golf course and got sick of golfers always hitting my care and not fessin up to it. Or maybe because I never was good at chasing that stupid white ball!

You question should be which schools have sweet lakes nearby to waterski on!

I'll go for a nice lake as well, the problem is that I wont have a boat to wakeboard behind. I can always take my clubs with me.

I figure that I need a good golfcourse nearby so I can start preparing for that three day weekend😉!!!

I hear ya, it's hard to take a boat eh, or even round up enough money for one... hahah

I personally love raquetball and hope to find a good partner to play with since my wife runs from the ball rather than attack it.

That isn't too cheap!!! And dont you have to be a member to play there or atleast know a member? I've heard you would never think that nice of a course would be there given its surroundings.

Augusta National Golf Club has about 300 members at any given time. Fees are reported to range between $250,000 and $500,000. Membership is strictly by invitation; there is no application process.

My bro-in-law takes his kids to the golf course a lot. A few days ago, I was playing baseball w/ his youngest son (he's 4). He couldn't hit the baseball w/ a bat, so I asked him if he needed a tee. Like tee-ball. He said to me, "Yeah, I think there's one at the golf course." 🙄

have CHEAP, but nice golf courses nearby? This is an important aspect in choosing which school I decide to attend.

Wasn't there a dental school that had some golf competition for first year students? There was a scholarship as the prize. I found it last week while browsing the Dental Schools pages. anyone know what I'm talking about? I'll have to find that again.

Forget golf though, is there a school with a ping pong table nearby? Now thats a real man's sport. I wish there was a scholarship for that.

Temple has a couple of ping pong tables in the student center And a microwave.

Then your school is Michigan, as long as you don't mind not golfing 6 months a year. Michigan has the most golf courses per capita of any state, and there are 2 within ann arbor that you can play for $5 (walking 18) if you fill out all these residency forms and apply for the resident discount. And there are a bunch of other courses within a 15 mile radius that I regularly play for $9-15 which is pretty damn cheap, you can play the U of M course which is VERY HARD for $25 as a student. But you also have to take up another sport for the winter months, like snow golf???? not so much.....

UNC's Finley golf course is actually pretty pricey, but you can get a student discount that saves a lot. 5 minutes to CHCC, 10 minutes away you have Governors Club, Hope Valley and a really cheap little one out on 54 on the way to Burlington.

UF, where gainesville is, has a few nearby. its a small town so driving to your choice of courses isn't too bad. probably 10-20 minute drives from campus to all the courses in town.
