I decided to retake my ochem II class because I got a C on it but I also decided to retake my MCAT this July. I already purchased BR books and some EK books for my last MCAT preparation. My main goal right now is to improve my MCAT so Idk if retaking Ochem II would be worth the time commitment that I could be using to prepare for my MCAT. So, should I just drop it and enroll in a kaplan course instead or continue to use my BR and EK books and continue with my Ochem II retake?

Well in my opinion you should retake the class since you got C in it. BR will be plenty to get you ready for orgo. Be sure to do ALL of the passages; I found myself learning more by reading answer explanations than just reading the content alone.
I don't know whether Kaplan is good or not.
So I would recommend retaking the orgo class, studying the BR orgo book (supplement it with youtube/wikipedia/google stuff), and most importantly do the passages.

Good luck

If you are applying to DO schools, then you should take OChem II to improve your overall GPA. It'll "wipe" your C in OChem II.

If you are applying to mainly MD schools, then you may be OK if you took biochemistry, which some schools look as a substitute for OChem II.

You can get away without retaking, but know that C can certainly bring down your sGPA, which puts more pressure on your MCAT score (you are re-taking so yeah, you NEED to do well).
