Which LORs to submit?

I had a quick question. I currently have 7 LOR's and I am trying to choose which 6 to submit.

1. Science Prof #1
2. Science Prof #2
3. Non Science Prof #1
4. DO - Kaiser Doc
5. DO - Osteopathic Center (shadowed and watched him use full on osteopathic principles on patients)
6. MD - shadowed the doc, hired as a medical intern - conducted vitals on patients
7. PI - did research with him for a year, no publications but did poster presentations

I definitely need to submit letters #1-3. I am planning to submit both letters #4 and #5 so I have multiple DO experiences submitted. I am having trouble deciding between #6 and #7. Initially, I wanted to submit the MD letter but I wanted to ask thoughts on having a research letter.

How important is it? I talk about the experience/poster presentations in my application but is it very important to have a LOR from a PI as well?

Please help!

From what I remember, the secondaries I submitted only allowed 3 LORs maximum so I could only use 3/7 that I received.
If I were you, I would submit letters 1,2,5

Submit via aacomas, from memory they allow 6? So 1-6, the schools will get them all and will be ok with that as some at a min will want 1-4 and you can't pick what letter goes where.if you want to submit less leave off a DO and research letters.

Did you submit via AACOMAS? I have 5 and from my understanding I can't pick and choose. So what happens then in this situation like yours above?

Some in secondary applications if you submit letters directly to the schools they only take 3. If you do aacomas the schools get them all and decide what ones they want. A few schools mentioned they only considered science and physician letters but I'd bet they look at everything they get.

Thanks. I figured that was the case. I'm just worried I look like someone who can't follow simple directions in terms of letters even though I have no control when it comes to picking select letters cause I submitted them via AACOMAS.

Well yeah I submitted via AACOMAS. I had 6 letters on there but when secondaries came, they said I could chose 3 from those 6 to submit.

Each school will have a set of different criteria for LORs. I applied to 20 out of 28 schools and none of them limited my LORs.

I had 8 LORs but was only allowed to send 6. So I planned my attack accordingly.

I only sent in 5 LORs during Verification on AACOMAS. Then after my interviews, I sent the other 3 directly to the admission office / interviewers.

With this method, you will have 7 LORs on your file.
