As D1 students we will soon purchase our loupes. I wanted to get some input from everyone based off the vendor choices that we have. Here are the three vendors that we can order from:

SurgiTel

Orascoptic

Designs For Vision

Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

search. this has been discussed countless times. even recently!

I have DFV and love them. I think the best thing about Surgitel is that the frames have a big ovalish "O" on the side that seems to make them desirable.

Thanks so much for the response. There is a bunch of information on SDN about loupes in general, but I just wanted to basically see which ones people would choose if they were provided with these three options. Thanks again for the input.

I've had designs for vision for about a year now and like them

I have Design for vision and it is ok. Just go try them out and see what fits your budget. I brought it because at that time it was the cheapest sports frame loupe among all. Whatever lopue you get, just pair it with Lumadent loupe light. excellent value and quality.

I have Zeiss and I love them. Not the most ergonomic design, but certainly one of the best in terms of durability and optics. Also, I second that about the light as it is, IMO, more important then the loupes themselves.
