Which monitor to use?

I have patients asking me about which blood pressure monitor to buy since a lot of them have hypertension and I don’t really know much about this. They have like 10 dollar monitors from Walmart so I’m wondering what advice do I give them? Is this monitor they have accurate or do they need like a 100 dollar one? Can anyone post which one that is like less than 100 bucks hopefully I can advise them to get? Thanks for the insights.

Go cheap or go home. An approximate reading is all they need.

Like they are telling me at home they are getting 118/72 but at their pcp office they’re getting 150/80

Have they brought their monitors into the office to check at the same time against your machines?
