ok.. i have a question... if you were given the choice of going to SUNY Stony Brook or Westchester Medical Center,Valhalla (both are in NY), which would you choose? both are university programs. Based on pay, housing, teaching, future fellowships, etc, what is a better choice. I'm just askin cause i like both programs and i was like what if i had to choose. sometimes im not sure which to rank higher for later. Also, i know there is Winthrop University hospital that i like too. its more of an affiliate program but decent too i guess. Anyway that program competes with the other two? oh, this would be for a Internal Medicine residency by the way.

I'm just looking for some feedback. hope you can help

um, how about the one where you interview at and feel like you could be happy/fit in well?

Do you really want someone else's biased answer to decide your future for you? Based on your interview, you already know about pay, housing, and quite a bit about the teaching. Different things are important to different people and are weighted appropriately. Most likely, anyone who responds is unlikely to have trained at both and only has the same experience you do. What does your gut sense say?

SUNY Stony Brook for the win. I'm an M1 and couldn't find stony brook on a map.

you're the only one who can decide which program and location meets YOUR overall needs better. people can provide you with information, but only you know what you want well enough to decide which is "better."
