GPA: 3.4
DAT: 21/21/19

Which of these schools do I have a pretty good chance of getting accepted to? I'm deciding whether or not to apply to these places. I'll be applying in May.

Maryland, Detroit Mercy, Michigan, Minnesota, Columbia, Virginia, Marquette

I'd eliminate Minnesota unless you're a WICHE applicant (or resident of the state).

Except Minnesota, Virginia, Marguette.

Is VCU difficult to get into? I'm instate, but applying a year early (i just finished sophomore year)....3.8 GPA/lots of experience and im takin the DAT in two weeks. I was a little suprised that the consensus among everyone here seemed to be that VCU was harder than Maryland.

I'd say you have a great shot at Detroit Mercy!

But four years in Detroit...... 😕 I don't know if I would do that. Also I've heard that UD-Mercy has major issues (financial solvency, etc) addressed on other threads on this site.

They are *****s.

Thanks guys -

So the consensus is I won't make VCU and Minnesota. I better cross those off and save some money.

So I do have a good shot at Columbia and Michigan? I thought those schools are even tougher to get into.

I was saying VCU was not the easiest thing to get into out of state.

I'm not sure about Maryland since i didn't look at applying there. Thanks for the feedback though.

I think you'll get an interview at Columbia.....and if it goes well then hopefully you'll be accepted.

i actually had the same excat stats with lower pat (had 17). and i had interviews maryland, columbia, michigan, and vcu .. so you have a good chance at all of htem. but i was instate to vcu
