Ive taken pcat twice. some subscores were higher the first time. Will schools consider take the higher subscores? Or will they just look at total composite?? Even thought i scored better in my composite some subscores went down from first time i took it

i'll say that the schools I looked into will either look at your most recent composite score, or your highest PCAT composite score.

I don't recall any ever stating they'll "pick out your highest subscores." The reasoning behind this is because some people could then concentrate on only certain sections at a time and do really well on them, then concentrate on the remaining sections the next time.

E.g. Chem/quant --> score high on 1st exam
then RC/verbal/BIO --> score high on 2nd exam.

The whole basis of the PCAT is to see how you do in preparing for an endurance multi-faceted exam.

my schools just states that applicants must meet the composite cutoff.
I scored higher in reading comprehension and verbal on first first test 😡. verbal dropped 25 points 2nd time around
