MD & DO Which program to apply to?

Hi guys my cGPA is 3.16 sGPA is 3.35 MCAT scheduled for this August. currently have 2 semester ochem and 1 semester bio in progress for this coming year.
2 MD letter of recommendations with 300 hours shadowing time. 1 pediatrician 1 OB/GYN
300+ Hours of volunteering at convalescent home with rehab department.
I will be applying to many DO programs this cycle. Just wondering if there are any MD programs that might be worth me applying to.

Depending on your state and MCAT, there might be a small chance.

You have to keep in mind two issues in your application:

1. Your GPA is low for DO/MD apps.

2. If MCAT is scheduled in August, will you only be submitting your AACOMAS & AMCAS in September? Then your apps will be verified in October. That's late and puts you at a significant disadvantage.

There's a solid chance that you will be rejected by every DO and MD school you apply to. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's what you need to hear.

My suggestion is to study super hard (take all the AAMC practice tests) and ace the August MCAT. Then complete your pre-med coursework, rack up more clinical and volunteer experiences and turn in your AMCAS or AACOMAS on the day they open in early June 2015. You will join medical school in Fall 2016.
