1. Medical school in Denmark 6.5 years (Medical school in Denmark is 6 years at a minimum.)
US Clinical experience 2 months in bottom 1/3 tier miami hospital (FIU Herbert Weirtheim)

2. Medical school in Denmark 7 years (delaying exam to take US clinical experience at a better place, Yale)
US Clinical 2 experience 2 months at Yale

Which is more competitive in a psychiatric residency application ?

I was also thinking, since in both cases i graduate in 2016, maybe i could just write graduation year 2016 and not write 6.5 years vs 7 years, im not even sure it makes much sense for the US schools looking at IMG applicants since the timelines of european school (6 years) must seem out of context to begin with.

Input appreciated.

If you are taking USMLEs at the same time in both instances, then I would say #2. If #2 pushes back your taking of Step 2 CK to past Sept, then #1 might be better, though it is not an easy call. It might depend on how strong your Step 1 score is in that case.

For both scenarios you will probably want to explain/justify why you were in medical school longer than is normal.

The graduation date that you put down needs to match what the school will be saying.

I can't speak about other PDs but I am familiar with the European model of medical education.
