Which rabies vax is safer - Imovax or RabAvert?

I was sick for 2nd dose, and they just gave it to me a week later at Penn. They weren't too concern.

Of course the companies study the average time to get peak effectiveness, but that will vary on the individual anyway. Kind of crazy to think it is an EXACT day, but maybe that have legal concerns like everyone else in human med.

Mine was more practical, as well... did my first one, did my second one at 8 days, and my last one at 24 days. (Oh the wonders of electronic calendars.)

On a related note, does anyone know why it takes so long to get a titer back? Had mine done a month ago (our school requires titer every two years after vaccination, or re-vaccination) and it took almost four weeks to get results.

I think it's just a product of the process, ya know? The testing trials have to be very specific about dosing protocol, otherwise your results aren't meaningful. And since those trials are what get translated into a label .... that's what you get on the label. In reality sure, there's no reason it has to be that exact.
