First of all: I am incoming MS1 and I thought this was the best place to ask.
Sorry if this post does not belong here, please let me know.
I know I am just too early in the process and have not gone through medical school and do not have board scores to really asking questions here, but please if you can give me your insights it would be really helpful.
I am searching for which sub-field would suit me better. I want to get the insight perspective so that I can shadow and narrow down my potential options. After reading each question, can you please list top 5ish field I should look into.
Q) I am looking for a field that would require constant critical analysis. I am just afraid that initially I would really enjoy the field I will choose but might get bored as I get further into my practicing as there will be lot of repetitions of the cases. I understand that each case is different, but which field would be require a lot of critical analysis later down the line.
Q) Which field would require the use of creativity more often. Basically, the field where you will have to come w/ the unique/better/innovative ways to treat the pt more often.
Q) A field where there is most variety, complexities, and urgency in the cases. Again, afraid of getting bored later down the line.
While I do have other preferences, I can compromise and sacrifice some of those if get a good balance of what I have listed above. The answers to this post can give me better idea of where to start. Thanks for reading and answering.
