Which rotations have shelf exams?

What 3rd year rotations will have shelf exams? All (including selectives) or just required rotations like medicine?

This may depend on your school and how they grade for each particular rotation. At my school all required 3rd year rotations used the shelf exam (Surgery, Peds, Neuro, Family Med, OB/GYN, Psych, Medicine). Those were the only shelf exams required. Any electives/selectives had their own grading criteria and usualy did not involve exams of any kind, though a few did have required exams that were created by the particular departments.

You should ask some 3rd/4th years at your school to find out exactly which rotations will require exams.
