For me, a program that is solely or heavily Problem Based Learning is not attractive. That's not what I expect for my $10K - $35K per year.

Show me what I need to learn and I will put forth my best effort.

Can we summarize the Osteo school teaching approach for easy reference? I visualize 3 or more groups: 1. All or mostly PBL, 2. Mix of PBL & organ system approach, and 3. Mostly organ based.

Thanks for weighing in with schools you know about.

1. PBL:

2. Mixed:

3. Organ Based:
TCOM

UHS (now KCUMB) is systems based.

Lecom has a system based lecture pathway AND a PBL pathway. They also have an independent study pathway just to make sure that they cover the bases for everyone.

At LECOM-FL, first semester is lecture plus PBL, and the rest is all PBL.

The first year is general sciences the second year is system based

Thanks for the input everyone . . . keep 'em coming. This is much better information than I have found online.

UMDNJ-SOM has a PBL curriculum for those who apply and are accepted into it (very small number of students), the rest are in a traditional organ based curriculum.
