Dear SDNers,

I am currently applying this cycle with letters of recommendation from 2 science professors, and 1 dentist. I was wondering if you guys know which of the following schools require a 3rd letter of recommendation from a science professor, or if any of the following schools will be okay with the 3 letters that I currently have.

UCLA, UCSF, UoP, Nova, NYU, Temple, ADSOH, USC, Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Columbia.

Also, I have 2 more letters of recommendation coming in, 1 science professor, and 1 non-science professor. My only concern is that these LORs will be generic and not as strong at the 3 current ones that I have. I am afraid that having "more" LORs would actually hurt my application since they are less personal. Is there any way for me to individually mail a 3rd professor LOR to schools that specifically require them?

They say applying to Med/Dent school takes work because YOU have to do research about the school along with other things. You have only 12 schools. How long does it take to check their website or call them and find an ACCURATE info? Would you trust the random answers you may get here about all of the schools you are applying?
