Which schools take composite score as opposed to most recent MCAT?

When did that happen? This is straight from the Tufts Website:

Multiple MCAT Scores

Many applicants to TUSM apply with more than one set of MCAT scores. Our policy is to consider the two most recent sets of scores and note the higher MCAT total of the two sets.

My interpretation of that is that they simply note your highest composite score of the two sets (ie, a 28 and a 30, they note the 30).

Last fall, our SMP class had a 2 hour session with him where he was advising us on the application process. Somebody asked him if Tufts still accepts the highest composite score and he said no they no longer do that. He stated the policy has changed because of the amount of times people can take the MCAT in any given year now.

I interpret what the website says to mean that if you take the MCAT twice, 30 the first time and 29 the most recent, they would count the 30. Then again, I am not on admissions so maybe a call to them would solve the issue.
 
From what the dean said together with what's posted on the website, it sounds to me more like they take the two MOST RECENT mcat scores and then use your highest composite between those two, as opposed to using ANY MCAT you've ever taken (since the dean said people now take the test so many times). But that's just my interpretation.
 
Hmm, actually i'm not so sure i agree with myself, lol. Reading the part from the website again, it does seem like they just take the highest mcat of the two most recent.

Yeah, the website seems a lil ambiguous either way.
 
these are the only 3 schools in the whole country?
 
Pitt takes composite scores.
 
You might want to do a search, this topic has been posted a lot. My advisor told me about UCI... it wasn't relevant in my case anyways so...

Does anyone know the difference between "the best scores" and "the best set of scores"?
 
loyola actually averages your two scores. that's what they told me when i called last summer.
 
I think the difference between "best set od scores" and "best scores" is that "set" implies one sitting and "best scores" implies a composite

right?
