sorry that it's not about DENTAL SCHOOL but undergraduate school

however, this is so important for me..

so please give me good opinion about this..

i got accepted from UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO -DENVER

and UNIVERISTY OF GEORGIA - ATHEN

all major biology !

i think UGA is much better than denver !!

however, denver has a dental school, and i heard that it's better to have

dental school near... i don't know why but 🙂

anyway...

which school are you guys going to transfer !!!!! if you were in my situation!!!

my opinion is this..

UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO -DENVER is not good as UGA but

it must be easier to get an A or any good grade

so... i want to go to DENVER

if i transfer to UGA.... i don't know but i just think that it's much harder

to get a goo grade compare to UC-DENVER.. don't you think so?

and dental school, doesn't really care about the UNDERGRADUATE's reputation... do they? but they really care about GPA ..

please...

help me to chose the school..

i need to choose as soon as possible i don't have much time.. i need to transfer from Jan...

1. least expensive school
2. school that you feel fits you most
3. consider dental school relevancy only if DS states they would give preference to their own graduates

5-10min to Rocky Mountains or Georgia farmlands hard choice lol😀

im asking for academically,

UGA well, it's better school, but it mean it's harder to expect high GPA

it doesn't have DENTAL SCHOOL

but UC-DENVER is easier to expect high GPA but it's not that good school

but has DENTAL SCHOOL

getting high GPA is alot better? compared to graduate from a BETTER UNIVERISTY?

Are you a Ga resident? If so, go to UGA. I think MCG only accepts GA residents. I could be wrong.

im an international student that's why the choices are Colorado and Georgia. 🙂

I'd transfer to the school that you want to go the most regardless of academics/social.

That saying... if you do decide to go to Denver just because of their dental school, make sure to actually make use of your situation. Do some research with a faculty there, some kind of joint club activities with dental kids etc...

I would go to Denver just to watch the Rockies/Nuggets.

I would say getting the most important thing in getting good grades is the amount of time you put into your studies. Difficulties between any two 4-year colleges shouldn't be that great. I'm sure many SDN'ers will be able to attest to this.

Not sure how it works for international students, but if you can declare residency... then I would definately go to colorado since it's a WICHE state in addition to having their own DS. That way you don't get screwed if you want to apply to a WICHE state school (which there are a decent amount of).

I personally would go to Colorado anyway just because it's a great state (even if you don't ski/snowboard).

one more question

do you think that UGA and UC-DENVER, they don't really have big academical differences between ?

like, reputation, and hard to get a good grade and so on..

i kinda wanna go to better school, but i am worried about the GPA so..

if UGA is like alot alot better than UC-DENVER, i think i might wanna go UGA

however, if they are kinda similar, then i would go to Colorado

any sugestion ?

UGA is a stop codon...take the hint!

awesome joke

but in all seriousness.. how the heck do you know that one is "easier" than the other? they are both public universities, both have hard and easy professors and challenging curriculum
sheesh.. just choose one you like. in four years you do not want to look at your GPA and, if your GPA is not what you wanted, blame it on the school

yeah, i know, what you mean,

what iam just wondering about the REPUTATION from dental school

if dental school cares about the REPUTATION of Univeristies, then i will

chose better school but i am just so confusing

you know what i mean..

i just want to choose the good RATIO within " easy school - better reputation "

i just want to be helped for analyzing UGA and UC denver if you guys can....

sorry for too confusing with this silly decision , if this bothers you guys though 😳

I think you are stressing out over nothing. I would go to the school that is the cheapest and I am the most comfortable. If price isn't an issue I would choose the school that I think I can graduate with the highest GPA. Also you could choose the school where it is easier to do research, but you may not be privy to that information. At some schools pre-health students are fighting tooth and nail for a few research opportunities, where at others schools opportunities are abundant.

No dental school is going to care about the reputation of Colorado vs Georgia. Nobody. It's not like we are talking about an Ivy League or Top 10 school. Believe me when I say nobody will care.

So, in short here are the things to consider
1. Price (less is better)
2a. Your personal comfort level
2b. Difficulty to perform well at the school (less is better)
3. Research opportunities

hm...

why is UGA " stop codon " ?

Molecular biology. The codon UGA is one of the 3 stop codons. When a stop codon is in the A-site of the ribosome, it signals translation to end leading the ribosome to release the completed polypeptide chain.

it helped alot !!!!!!!
