I've memorized the most important ones like aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, acids.

But what about nitriles, alkenes, alkynes, ethers? (these are mentioned in Destroyer)

Nitriles and terminal Alkynes (internal Alkynes are IR inactive) both have a peak around 2200 and the C-H (sp) on the terminal alkyne gives a signal around 3200. Alkenes give a signal around 1650 and aromatic cmpds give signals ranging from 1500-1600. Alkane sp3 C-H bonds give a signal to the right of 3000 and alkene or aromatic sp2 C-H bonds give a signal just to the left of 3000.

THanks, lol. I'm guessing that's a yes? 🙁

Actually I got none on my DAT

Since the exam randomly picks questions from a question bank, I think you got an easy version of the exam across the board. Lucky bastard! lol.

What did you use as a good luck charm?

He didnt get IR question doesnt mean his exam is easy 🙂

I got one (or 2) IR questions but they are easy. Remember IR questions that appear in Destroyer.
