Which would you pick?

Western or Rosemaaaaan, BU is coooold

Unless you are a native and used to that 😎

I'm from socal and Pomona, CA is not as beautiful as south Jordan. So roseman>western/BU

I interviewed at Western and Roseman and I DEFINITELY liked Roseman better. The facilities are incredible, the staff is supportive, and there's a ton of outdoor activities to do in Utah.

Lots of problems with BU, go search it up, some recent threads on it, almost bad as the one for USC..to sum it up, if BU is your only option then go...

little Buddy, I'd probably go to BU, but then again I love, love, love Boston.

Would you mind pointing us in the direction of these threads? Realistically speaking, how reliable are they?

Ah there was aguy, BUdent maybe, that was bashing the program. They have made significant progress in the pass few years but as an established program that is fully accreditation like many like to emphasize on this site, they have had their fair share of issues and there was also talk that they might get their accreditation revoked if they didn't make such improvements. Haven siad that, it seemed like a really fun place to go to school but they have issues with over saturation with students (advanced standing students are injected into clinic with the already 115 dental students) and significant no show rates with patients.

When I was there last year it was nice but not nearly as nice as the newer schools obviously.

As predent mentioned earlier in another thread, these are older threads that are really no longer relevant to the current program under the new dean.

Did you get acceptance already from Western?
I interviewed at Western but I have no Western on my AADSAS.
I am waiting for call from Western and so nervous.
How did you check your acceptance.

not accepted to western yet.. no aadsas update for me either so just have to wait for monday. Not my top choice so no big deal for me at least.

Looks like there's a lot of different opinions on BU, but mine is to avoid it. I didn't get a very good feeling on interview day. I think I saw 5 patients all day on a Monday. I also asked students point blank if they ever have to pay for their patients. They said yes. You don't get credit until the bill is paid - this is pretty sour in my opinion. The school seems to be all about money and not about getting an education. Students also said things like "you don't do a lot of endo because it's too tedious, so we refer them to the specialists". What?!

I'd say Roseman > Western > BU

Come on Dr. Harman! Give me that beautiful phone call!

Its up to you little buddy...other then petty biases seen on this forum, BU medicine programs are highly regarded around the world and prestigious! Every school has problems, but not every school has students that are gonna blab about them!

after reading how much you loved lecom during last year's cycle, what has changed your mind about it so much?

I had multiple interviews and got in somewhere else lol. I really did the lecom emphasis on clnic but PBL is not for me and moving to another city during 4th tears seems like a lot of hassle. Also, right now everything is just a promise (sure it will all come to fruit) and Roseman, Western and Boston are just far far more superior in terms of location (not so much Western), faculty and curriculum. I was excited about lecom last year because I wanted to go to dental school. Now that I go in somewhere else and interviewed at other schools, it is just too hard to consider lecom anymore as an option.
