Hey Guys,

I recently submitted my AMCAS online (yay! It's done). But now comes the hard part: secondaries. While I'm waiting for my AMCAS to be verified and transmitted, how can I go ahead with the application process? Is there a website that lists secondary essay prompts that I can start on? What are you guys doing during this time?

Jason

hey, I submitted mine last night. 😀 There is a thread that has posted some secondary questions, it is helpful. Also, you can go to University Websites and see if they have a link to thier secondary. i found a few from 2004, but I am assuming that they will be the same. Also, Texas and Tulane, maybe others, require that you fill out their secondary as soon as you submit AMCAS. Hope this helps

Many of the schools will have questions somewhere along the lines of "Why our school", so you should be thinking about the reasons for your attending that particular school. Also, just so you guys know, you won't be getting your secondaries for a while (schools don't download your amcas application until mid july), so just sit tight for a while and relax. It'll get very hectic soon enough 🙂

For all of you Cali kids (or anyone else that is applying to UC Davis) I would recommend starting on the Davis secondary as soon as possible, as it is very extensive. You have to write a lot of essays, but the good news is, you'll be able to re-use them (with a few adjustments) for almost all of your other secondaries. It's just a good idea to get a jump start on these things.

Best of luck to you!

Edit: By "starting on" I mean looking at the questions, outlining how you would answer them, and perhaps thinking about how you might start off that particular essay. But, you may not want to actually write them until you get the ok to move on to the secondary.
