Hello everyone,

For as long as I can remember, whenever I have had to read something, I have always read out loud because it helps me focus and retain the information much better. I understand that I obviously cannot read out loud during the actual MCAT (and I definitely do not want to disturb those around me), but I would like to know if it is acceptable to whisper as quietly as I can to myself when reading CARS passages? I have extreme difficulty focusing on the CARS passages. My mind wanders off as I read. Whispering would tremendously help me. Would I get in trouble for it? And would other people be able to hear me if I whispered (I'm not sure how far apart people sit from one another during the exam)?

I would really appreciate your answers!

You can get reported for it, so don't do it. It is disruptive to other test takers, and someone could accuse you of cheating.
