They fit you for your coat at the interview? I wonder if anyone has ever been rejected because they don't have a coat that will fit. Like maybe someone really short or fat.
Why?
The white coat does look kind of goofy. I mostly associate it with the internal medicine residents I see who look like they are in constant agony at my hospital. Those guys always have their coats on.
Oh yeah and wearing it outside in the summer heat in Texas visiting people in their homes without good air conditioning is not my idea of a good time.

Is anyone getting excited about getting to participate in a white coat ceremony?? I know I am 😀!!!
Does anyone know if you can dye your coat an attractive color like lavender, pink, yellow or blue? I've seen colored coats, but not that often. Hmm...😎

I don't think its really "the coat" that is so exciting. Its more along the lines of just finally feeling like your "there"I respect your enthusiam, but why is it such a big deal? Even the lab techs and patient transporters wear white coats. My wife's a nurse and laughed when they gave her one.

My professor for gen-chem allowed us to dye labcoats in lab, tie dye to be exact. I didn't.Does anyone know if you can dye your coat an attractive color like lavender, pink, yellow or blue? I've seen colored coats, but not that often. Hmm...😎

I don't think it has anything to do with the color or the coat itself. Anybody can buy a white coat. It's the symbolism that the coat represents. Think of all the hard work it took to get to medical school! I won't be applying until next summer and I still think about it all the time!
I'm looking forward to the white coat ceremony, but I don't like the look of the med student coats. I'm looking forward to wearing an actual lab coat as a physician more.
Once we're actually doctors we'll get the long coats. That'll be an exciting day.

Some scrubs have more pockets than others. I think you can get them with adequate pocket coverage.
Seriously, I've seen docs wear 'em before!

As have I... but he was a psychiatrist👍You could always wear a fanny-pack.Seriously, I've seen docs wear 'em before!

If you're going to KCUMB you should be excited... if not about the coat and ceremony, then at least about the band and spread of food and booze afterwards. 🙂
Yeah, but its Hanson

Do you guys have to pay for tickets to your White Coat ceremony....is this normal...?
