so...got some orientation forms today, asked us for our white coat jacket size S M L XL. what are these roughly equivalent to? it says sizes are unisex....any ideas how to pick the rite size?
I'd post this in the allopathic forum and list what jacket or suit size your wear. Ask them what coat would best fit someone your size. No one knows better than those that are currently wearing them.
Yeah, I'm worried about my white coat, because I hope mine will say UCLA School of Medicine, rather than the David Geffen School of Medicine, how cheesy and so L.A.
They will probably let you try on coats before the white coat ceremony to be sure of your size. I suggest doing this... you don't wanna be stuck with a coat that doesn't fit.
Be careful...when I had to give them a size four years ago I was offered the coice of S,M, L,XL. I naturally choose XL becasue I am tall...the jacket turned out to be a size 50. It looked like a tent on me...I still laugh my a$$ off at the pictures from my white coat ceremony. <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

•Why don't they have the coat size XS or petite for us 5'3" or shorter? •••••They do. I'm short, and my coat fits perfectly (although I did have to shorten the sleeves a little). Just try them on sometime before orientation to be sure you're ordering the right size.

I wear a size 42 Regular jacket and I had to wear a size 46 white coat. Trust me, you don't want to get caught with a coat too small. Several members of my class picked a coat the same size as their jacket and the sleeves ended up being 3/4 length. Hope this helps.
