Who has C's on their transcripts and still got in...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

i believe the person who posted this wanted to hear back from someone that's got into the dental school, not from people with C's still trying to go to dental school (which includes me with many C's..)

i got a C+ in genetics my junior year... but everything else are b's and a's. just try the best you can and you'll be fine!🙂

MEEEEEEEEE

Im so proud of it though. C+ in human anatomy lab. Actually it sucks i hate that damn thing.

I failed a class retook got an A,

Got 1 C+ on my transcript while applying to dental school
2 C's in Pchem 1 and 2 after application.

I made a C last semester my senior year in some stupid women studies class...I missed one exam...😱

Too many to count. I even got Ds and Fs and still got in Dec 1st. You just gotta try a lot harder to dig yourself out of that hole.

Good luck!

1 F.
1 D.
Approx. 8 or 9 C's
3.4

Although none of those C's were in the required pre-reqs for dental school...hmmm....does that make a difference?
I've been in college too long

i got 3 F and 2 C. still i got in this year for my first time applying. Keep ur head up. and good luck

How many C's do you have on your record and did you still get accepted to dental school?

don't you know that everyone on SDN has a 4.0 gpa and 25+ on the DAT? if you don't have at least that, i'd suggest you find another profession. 🙄

I earned a D and F. The D in Calculus III and the F in my senior thesis. I still was accepted to D school.:meanie:

I got C's in biochemistry, animal physiology, animal phys lab, and anthropology... I was accepted to 6 schools.

I feel a bit better now. I just need to make sure I get only A's in my science classes next semester. Thanks for all your posts. Anyone with a lower GPA still get accepted?

C in genetics. This was the worst class I have ever taken. I hated mating those flies and then counting them. Talk about nasty. I'd much rather dig around in some perio infested mouth.

C's, lower GPA, the whole bit. I certainly wouldn't recommend it though, this isn't our father's dental school. It's a whole new era and it probably won't be long before the competition is at a head with med school.

If you can keep the grades up, keep 'em up.

i got a C+ in O-Chem II and Biochem. still a 3.67 cumulative and 3.58 science. plus i only got a 19 on the DAT. i was accepted to Pitt on Dec 1st, still waiting to hear from 5 other schools.

C in Biology I and almost got a C in Gen Chem I, the professor was generous to give a B haha.
Good luck

i got 2 c's and a d...still ended up with 4 interviews and an acceptance at the best school (uop)😀....

I have 4 C's on my transcript, all sciences and I still got in. But I did well in other science classes and the dat. Its a combination of things they look at not just your gpa and dat score otherwise I wouldn't have had a shot.

i have 5 c's and got accepted so i don't think it matters a lot if you do well on your dat and other science courses..
