Well, its gotten to that point. I held out for a while, stuck to the study schedule, never got behind.

Somewhere at the end of second round of tests, and heading into finals, I notice that I have just taken up a "survival" strategy.

Has this happened to you yet?

I have been sucked into cramming, late-nighters, and ping-ponging from subject to subject. Sleep deprivation and caffeine dependency have taken over!!!

Does it just get to this breaking point every semester? Yikes! Can't wait for break, just a few more weeks!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Started the week 8 lectures behind, the plan is to chip away at this by friday while keeping my head above water for this week's stuff

arrrrrgghhh 😱

Do you think it hurts that its getting darker and colder out? Im just waiting for the entire midwest to freeze over then Ill really have an excuse to complain!

I think the weather definitely has an impact on our study habits (and mindset).

just got done with a massive test block this week, and I am utterly exhausted.....each test block seems to chip away at my overall academic energy level. i can see myself getting behind in this new block

I would rather be studying in the fall semester when it's cold and dark, and you feel ok about slaving away at the desk.

But in the spring or in like, May, I cannot concentrate worth beans. When it hits 70 degrees, I'm thinking: books? Neuro? wha ... ?

That's why you should go to school in the ******* jungle like I do. It was a sauna-like 90 degrees today.

In other news, yes, I too am sick of studying. Doesn't look like any relief is on the way though. 🙁 Good luck to you guys. And if you need me, I'll be with Dr. Starbucks.

yea..... initially kept on top of things.
And even though i never covered this i can make a self Dx of pathological procrastination, with associated sleep deprivation/caffeine dependency and cramming comorbiditys

The other thing I've notice is during the first half the semester, I would get up all early, work all morning before classes, then still get seven or eight hours of sleep.

The last two weeks, its been the old approach from undergrad: up till one or two, try and drag out of bed early but never do, sludge around and suck down diet coke to get my brain going.

Basically, at the end of every class day I feel like i've been punched in the brain! Yikes!!!

At least week get thanksgiving week completely off... do you?

Exactly!

Stupid me, I stopped caffeine a week back, and it jacked up my whole sleep schedule, and now? Now I'm back on the god for saken substance. I brewed a pot just a few minutes ago. MMmmmm... the wonderful aroma and trickling sound of percalating coffee... drroooolll....

Do you ever feel like you look like a really tired cartoon? The ones with huge round, blood shot eyes, and 28 bags under their eyes?

Here's another one: if you were PopEye, would caffeine be your spinach?

Ok. Well apparently I've lost some of my mind with this whole exhausted thing. And I still don't comprehend the autonomic nervous system...

chronic fatigue syndrome, general malaise

OH DAMN!!!

I didn't realize the effect two cups of coffee would have after one week of not having any caffeine.

I feel like I'm gonna shoot lightening out of my finger tips!!! Maybe I'll be able to make up three weeks of exhaustion in one sitting at a computer. I'll report back later... time to rip up some study notes and get this f'jizzle on the road biatch! 😀 😱 😀 👍 :horns:
