4 questions that would be good for our specialty as a whole:

1) What was your multiple and how long is your contract?
2) What are your retirement options and did you get yearly shares at a discount as part of the deal?
3) How was the transition and how are you currently treated? What AMC?
4) Are you happy?

All this AMC talk begs the questions above and I am curious as to who has done it or if you know someone who has done it?

I'm looking for peoples experiences.

I am also talking about a buyout... not a contract take over.

The ones who did it are unlikely to disclose these facts because some of the people who got shafted in the process should not find out what really took place behind closed doors.

They also sign a fairly strict non-disclosure agreement that prevents them from discussing details.

Still would be nice to get some info. Particularly... are they happy during and after their time in servitude. Did they get a raise when renegotiating that contract after their servitude time was up.

My understanding is that some of these AMCs are wising up and trying not to put the squeeze on the groups that are bought out. They make a considerable amount just off their negotiated insurance rates. They can and have lost the contract with the hospital if they stir up too much mud... kinda like shooting yourself in the foot.

Still this is all hearsay. This is an anonymous forum. Seems like a good place to divulge some info to us in the field.

Nothing is anonymous... unfortunately!
