I heard that not everyone gets these and that they only send them to people who did really good, really bad, or average? What does this mean? I am a re-take and did really poorly the first time but didn't receive the survey...oh my gosh is this a bad omen. I think I read that they send these surveys out to people with really low percentages first or something?! If you know anything about this at all please do share, to say I am a nervous mess is an understatement.

I got one.
And I think I was the one making the rumor about them sending them to people who did horrible, average and great.
But it would make sense to me to send it out to these three catergories since they are using the survey for research.

I remember reading on AAMC abt the average time a test taker studies OR abt how taking a mcat course really does not matter, I believe they get this info from the surveys and I also believe that the best way to conduct this survey would be to send out the survey to the extremes and the middle test takers.

haha I voided and I still got one!

Also, warning: if you void, you are not allowed to take experimental section - so no gift card.

This is killing me! I'm trying to figure out how they select people or if its just random...I got in the mid 20s the first time I took it and didn't get the survey...really hoping I did well even though I feel pretty defeated

Maybe we can get together and figure out how they select the people.
I took the MCAT 1/24 and got the survey 1/26.
This is my first time taking the MCAT and my stats are down below.

You're not going to figure it out. Just relax.

Let's try to figure it out it will only end two ways.

1. We figure the algorithm out

OR

2. We become so busy for the whole month, which will relieve the anxiety of our MCAT scores, then get our MCAT scores 1/26.

Also this post can help future MCAT takers figure out the algorithm.

Like I said... I thought everyone got one... I don't think I saw one post with someone saying he/she didn't get one.

It's more likely that AAMC sent these out to everyone. Larger pool of respondents = better data, IMO. If you didn't get one, I would check my spam blocker or something.

And I'm absolutely sure that your score has no bearing on whether or not you receive an email. The AAMC is a massive company, and it's likely that the department in charge of such solicitations is completely removed from the department that is involved with grading and test administration.

So please, everyone calm your tits.

Crap, I got one. And I didn't fill it out and I got the email again. I filled it out bc I got scared haha 🙁

Chill. I got one. If everyone didn't get one, then I'm sure people were randomly selected.

Anyway, I'm sure it has no bearing on your score so just go and get a drink or take some klonopin.

Wouldn't that technically be everyone? lol

Yeah I think everyone got one or it's random... Leaning towards large pool and random because I didn't get one the first time I took the MCAT but this second time I got a bunch of e-mails telling me to do it so I finally filled it out after the 3rd e-mail lol.
