A guy my group in my physiology class is turning it down and another one of my friends is calling today to find out if he got in. If he did he is most likely turning it down. They are both out of state. Hope that will help you.

Hey PERFECT3435 I am sure you are aware of this and it may be of no benefit to you, but can't you call and get an update on the list and find out where you are at on it?

I'm not too sure of how the alternate list works, but I always thought it was for potential alternates due to an already full class, meaning they have recieved deposits for all of their seats. So, I'm wondering if a better question to ask is if anyone paid their deposit already to IUSD, but have changed their mind since.

I declined in January. I was told that I would have been granted in-state status had I moved back to indiana prior to school starting. Even as an in-state resident, however, their fees are still considerably higher than a lot of other state schools.

I am in the same boat as you. Do you know what it means if u are neither admitted, nor rejected or put in the alternate list. is there a chance for us?. I dont understand what is going on.

I was told at my interview that no one who got an interview will get rejected but will remain in the alternate pool until a spot opens up (if ever...depends how far down on the list you are).

If this is true, why do they bother to interview then???

I turned it down in January, even though they sent me a letter stating they got my $500 deposit that I never sent. Best of luck!

i think "who turned IUSD down" thread has been already helpful for you.
i could feel that you'll definately get in.
but as a student who will be attending IUSD, i get discouraged seeing others turning down/saying things about IUSD.
would you possibly close that thread?

i'm sorry to bother you but i believe people who are going to IUSD wouldn't want to see it either.

ok this was a pm that someone sent me. seriously, i don't see why anyone would feel discouraged about what others think. wether its IU, Bu, UB, UX, UN or any other school, you will be a Dr at the end. If you think IU is a better choice in your case, then IU is the better choice. if you think a diff school would be a better choice, then don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

i know there are many who are thrilled to be attending IUSD.
