I declined too! 🙁

more important question: When did you decline? After you made a deposit? Or will you soon before the 2nd deposit?

I did not even make a deposit, $1500.00 was just to much for me to hold a spot, especially since I had been accepted to a state school, and had other interview offers. My deadline was March 3, I sent off a letter today rejecting the offer. Tufts is a great school! I wish you luck. 🙂

I just declined (after paying the $1500) and freed up another scholarship for Tufts.

I declined on March 2nd, without putting down a deposit.

great question... anyone else?

Just curious as to why this even matters? 🙂

because Tufts currently has more deposits than they are looking to have(ideally). therefore, if you are on the waitlist you have to wait for people to decline and not put down a 2nd deposit so that eventually/hopefully they will go to the waitlist.

So there are more deposits right now than there are seats available in the class? Yikes!

no there potentially are enough seats for the amount of deposits that they have. but, they have a few more than their "target" number... what they, i guess, would ideally like to have

Yes, please do withdraw if you're not planning on going there.
