Hi Guys,

SO I am having difficulty in finding factors that will help me narrow down the list of schools that I am applying to. Assuming you have the stats to be competitive and aside from location, what other factors can you use to narrow the field? All of the schools say, "We have an excellent research focus to prepare our students to be the best..." blah blah blah, so where's the beef?

By the By, my list is down to:
Buffalo
Case
Colorado Denver
Columbia
Harvard
Nova
Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh
Washington

I have a 20 PAT / 21 AA / 22TS, 3.6 cGPA, 3.7sGPA. I am from Colorado (WICHE for Washington) and Harvard is a reach school, but I'll throw them a little money for a shot.

My question, though, was how to find additional criteria for which schools might be a better fit.

Thanks!

I'm guessing you're a WICHE resident? Because Washington is kinda hard to get into unless you are. Or maybe one of your reach schools.

If you posted your stats it would be a lot easier to help. It's kind of tough if you say you have "competitive stats." Since you are applying to Harvard, it seems like you could apply anywhere.

Didn't see you added your stats. Keep the current list and don't look back. Factors for your schooling should only be up to you.

I think your list looks good; I'm doing the same thing for Harvard (just to get a very expensive piece of paper from them haha).

Also, you can check www.predents.com and check where people with similar stats got in.
