When writing a secondary for a school, is it bad to mention that my own stats are similar to their class profiles?

Or should I just stick to the "I like your school's dedication to serving the local community.. Blah blah blah."

An in mentioning the stats portion, it would obviously be in concurrence with other reasons, such as the one above.

Haha how would you say that?

"And as you can see from my numbers, I will be a perfectly average student at your medical school."
That's exactly what I was thinking haha. I wouldn't even know how to phrase it anyway. I'm just wondering about all those private schools that accept OOS. They have to know that people are only applying there because they fall within range of their stats. I just feel like I'm talking out of my ass when I say I want to attend there for other reasons.

Ha I mean you don't have to find anything unique about the school, just look something up and say that you like it (curriculum, research, patient exposure). That's all they are looking for.

My exact thoughts most of the time.

And everyone else's.

This is like when a girl you just met in the bar asks you why you talked to her instead of any of the other chicks there. You don't answer "because I thought I had a good shot" even though that's what you're thinking.

The key to answering this question is to find something unique about this school's program that is significant to you. Done correctly this always puts a smile on the adcoms face as they know you have done your homework. -Admissions Advice Online
