Hi,

I haven't done an extensive search of the med school forums, but I am wondering why there are no Physics complaint forums (especially Physics II calc-based). I always see these organic chemistry complaint forums, but I honestly find physics to be a few worlds harder than organic chemistry. Am I just weird, or do others share this sentiment?

Ochem 1 has been easy (compared to what I thought it'd be). Physics 1 calc based has been kicking my ass hardcore. I feel your pain🙁

People have better things to do than go on forums to complain about the difficulty of physics?

They instead complain about their overall GPA of 3.9.

where is the organic chem complaint forum? I would have frequented Orgo II sucks balls forum a bit more.... I probably would've trolled the Physics II forum cause only public U kids have trouble with that class 🙄

Because you can whine all you want, but physics still makes sense. I would have traded all of my o-chem classes for more advanced physics. 😉

In all seriousness, I don't think there are complaint forums, they just pop up once in a while...and I think I've seen both physics and o-chem on the same frequency.

Because physics rocks!!! (Disclaimer: I am a physics teacher) I love physics b/c it actually makes sense! There really are not that many formulas to learn. All you have to do is take the basics (F=ma; and the five for uniformly accelerated motion) and be able to apply them. At least with physics you know what you are in for.

Because you don't need to take the Calc-based one if your not an Engineering or Comp Sci Major. It's probably one of the hardest undergrad Science classes. What possessed you to take the Calc based one?

Is this person serious? Maybe for Introduction to Physics for Dummies you'd use 5 formulas for anything.

How about trying to derive formulas or looking at RLC circuits with a bazillion connections. SUPER ANNOYING. It's not even about using Kirchoff's rules, it's about being meticulous and tryign to prevent yourself from being bored to death.

Physics gets annoying, especially when you're penalized for forgetting to write a particular equation on your sheet of paper for your exam. No sheets of paper, or make it open book, one or the other, honestly... give me a break.

I have to drink lots of coffee to convince myself to stay up when physics is in the homework equation...

Obviously you're the type that does not like a bit of mental gymnastics and prefers to pound a book in to their head through rote memory... to each his own....

Took college physics 1/2 got an A. I don't see why you should subject yourself to University Physics unless you HAVE to... and you DON'T.

Because people who complain are annoying.

Many people don't realize that Physics is an applied math course. It's very different than the other sciences, and someone who effortlessly aces bio may break their teeth over physics. You don't have that same difference between, say, bio and chem.
