Why dentistry question at Interviews

Is the "why do you want to become a dentist" interview question asking you for an answer like what you like about the career (time flexibility, being able to be your own boss...that kind of thing?) OR....is it pretty much asking what got you interested in dentistry in the first place (so something along the lines of what you wrote in your personal statement...some personal experience you've had that led you to have an interest in dentistry)???
