To my knowledge, the match rate for students who want to return to the US for their residency is something like 50%, but the match rate for students already in the US is closer to 98/99%.

There is this gem to persuade you to never go to the Caribbean.

Also, isn't the drop out rate in the Caribbean super high while the tuition costs are gigantic? I wouldn't want to risk putting myself that far in debt to not be a doctor or being a doctor but can't do my residency in the states.

Because your premise is wrong, overseas grads certainly do not match anywhere near the same rate as US grads, period.

Ofc. Primarily they get matched into the residencies that U.S grads dont want i.e Family Meds. But I just wanted to inquire into the of those that went.
